Light industrial
Workshop, site, and small-plant engines in light-industrial settings.
The problem
A light-industrial operator runs a handful of small engines — site generators, compressors, small plant — in and around occupied buildings, where exhaust in a working space is both a cost and a nuisance the operator is answerable for.
Engine envelope
- Fuels
- Diesel site and small-plant engines.
- Power band
- Small sets up to roughly 100 kVA.
- Duty cycle
- Intermittent working-day duty.
- Not in envelope
- Not petrol or spark-ignition plant, not hand tools, and not engines that cannot be safely interrupted for fitting.
What a survey includes
- A site visit to the engines and where they run.
- The engine make, model, and rating for each.
- The working environment and where exhaust is a problem.
- Access and how each unit can be taken offline for the work.
How we measure
We do not quote a figure before we have seen your engine. We measure your engine before and after fitting, under a protocol agreed with you, on your fuel and your load — and we give you those measurements.
